How to Update Mozilla Firefox Browser in Ubuntu Using Terminal

If you are not able to properly upgrade your Mozilla Firefox in Ubuntu then in this post I am going to show you simplest method to Update Mozilla Firefox in Ubuntu Using Terminal. We cannot update Firefox to a recent version in Ubuntu just by navigating to Help and by clicking the Check for Updates option as you can do on windows OS.

Follow below steps to update your Mozilla Firefox Browser in UBUNTU

Step-1: Open your terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T

Step-2: Add repository

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-next

Step-3: Update repository

Note: Update process will take some time. Be patience.

Step-4: After successful update run following command in terminal to update your Mozilla Firefox Browser

sudo apt-get install firefox

When it prompts for Y or N, type Y and Wait for the process to complete and finally Restart your Mozilla Firefox Browser.
